When it's done (spoiler)

After the mirage faded, all that met the eye was desolation. You were ambushed by a giant Skeletal Bloom, and a woman saved you, taking you to a camp and giving you her last sip of water. To repay the life-saving grace, you entered an abandoned well shaft for her, helping her search for an oil lamp. Going deeper, you saw generations of Horsehelm Village people striving for water, one after another. You returned the lamp to the woman. Her eyes cleared once more, and she walked with the lamp towards the direction of water.
