Among the jagged rocks lies the skeletal remains of a monk. His robes are blackened by rain and mud. His leg bones are snapped, and his ribs are shattered, suggesting a fatal fall during a violent storm.
The skeletal hands remain tightly clenched against his chest. Prying the bony fingers apart reveals an old letter wrapped in oiled paper.
