Letter

To the Benevolent Healers of Spring's Return Hall:

Yours respectfully, Jingxuan

I am Jingxuan, Abbot of Reflection Temple. Recently, a multitude of refugees have sought shelter in our temple, fleeing the disaster in Jinghu. Upon arrival, several already suffered from relentless fever, coughing up blood, and bearing red rashes on their flesh. Yet our temple has neither healers nor medicine, and the sick continue to grow in number. My strength is spent. I fear once the plague fully erupts, the living will perish, and the dead will find no peace. I send my eldest disciple into the city with this letter, begging your clinic to dispatch a healer or two with medicine to our temple. If you cannot come, please grant us a prescription and herbs, so I may attempt to save them. The temple is impoverished, but we will offer what meager incense money we have in return. I beg the benevolent ones to take pity on these wandering souls of our chaotic times, and grant us your aid swiftly. Abbot of Reflection Temple
