Midnight JudgmentMain rule
Defeat title-holders to seize their status.
In Midnight Judgment, defeat Sufferers to steal their identities/karma and ascend the Asura Path.
On the Path of Slaughter, there is no kinship, no mentorship, no brotherhood, only the blade and the will to rise. The seat of power belongs to strength alone.
Any within the sect may challenge the Sufferers.
Win, and you inherit their sins and take their place.
Fall, and you offer your neck to fate. Die without regret.
Kill to Seize Karma
Defeat wanderers to gain Karma Points; being defeated deducts Karma Points.
During combat, a Midnight Blades Disciple gains 10 Karma Points for defeating another Wanderer, and loses 10 Karma Points if defeated by one. This rule applies equally to friends and foes, and does not apply in Arena mode.
To join the Midnight Blades is to bear the world's sins in blood;
To walk the path of killing is to kill so others need not.
Outside, offer deliverance to those in suffering;
Within, help your brethren find relief from karmic pain.
Ultimate Bliss for All Beings
Head to Perception Forest to obtain large amounts of Karma Point.
Midnight Blades Disciples can train in the Perception Forest. Empowered by the Wish of Deliverance, they can gain more Karmic Burden Points by surviving longer and killing more enemies.
Absorb 5 Karma Points for every 60 seconds survived in the Perception Forest.
The three realms are unsafe, like a house on fire. It's filled with suffering and true terror. Thus, cultivators vow to fall into heresy, eternally sinking into delusion, helping all to extinguish the causes of suffering in the three realms, transcending life and death, and stepping into ultimate bliss.
Meditative Samadhi
In the Open World combat, hesitate not, spare no lives.
Disciples of the Midnight Blades are unyielding and resolute. Once their weapon is raised, there is no rest until death. Their hearts remain unmoved, their nature unwavering; no hesitation, no surrender.
In battle against other Wanderers or enemy bosses, they would rather die fighting than flee, seeing their bloody work through to the end. If cowardice takes root and they retreat from combat, it is deemed a wavering heart and results in the deduction of 1 Karma Point(s).
The weight of karma is heavy; the weak cannot bear it. If a cultivator's heart wavers, all karma is lost. Only when one severs the cycle of life and death and beholds existence with a calm heart untainted by self, greed, or attachment, can meditative samadhi be attained and the great path realized.
