In ancient times, the Qiongqi served Qin, assisting in the subjugation of the Six States and the unification of the world. By offering the blueprints of the Golden Colossi, the First Emperor rallied the world's weaponry and ordered the casting of twelve such giants. The essence of Qiongqi was to exhaust the wonders of the realm, wielding ultimate power through ultimate wisdom to secure eternal peace.
However, as Qin grew tyrannical and the people suffered, Qiongqi fractured into two. One half became Mohist Hill. They chained the bodies of the Golden Colossi and severed their heads, swearing never to serve Qin again. Thus, the craft of the Golden Colossi was lost to time.
During the Han Dynasty, when Confucian and Mohist scholars debated the Dao, Mohist Hill retreated into the secluded mountains, relocating the remains of the Golden Colossi to this very place.
Reexamining these great constructs, my judgment remains unchanged: the ancient Qiongqi intended to power them with geomagnetism. Yet, even if we study this for another century, the chances of success are minuscule. Those guarding this place dare not speak of the ancients with their present meager talents, trapping themselves in deep delusion. I shall act upon the principles I know. To spare neither life nor reputation is the true path of a Mohist.
As for morality...
The ideals of Qiongqi once closely mirrored the Mohist way, yet our order has strayed ever further from it.
By studying the geomagnetic methods of the Golden Colossi and making improvements, I have derived the Lodestar Swordplay.
What the ancients left unfinished, the present generation can surpass.
