Wen Wuque's plan to offer the Gold-Making Vessel as tribute is a masterful stroke, achieving three aims at once to halt war and protect Jiangnan.
First, by withholding monetary tribute, the Zhao-Song's military coffers will shrink, thus delaying any conflict.
Second, should the Vessel then be stolen, it would allow Tang coins to circulate once more, forcing the Zhao-Song to contend with internal strife and leaving them unable to project power outward.
Third, in forging an alliance with the Ember of East, we provide the people of Jiangnan a potential sanctuary, should war inevitably break out.
For this design to succeed, the Velvet Shade must flawlessly cooperate with the Ember of East on Heroes Assembly.
