About
Fifteen years ago, when the Khitan besieged the city, Kaifeng's hundred districts were destroyed overnight. Amid the chaos, Zhu Yousheng led the youth of these districts to take refuge in the underground Ghostlight Market. There, he adapted the martial arts of Ghost Valley and founded the Nine Mortal Ways. After the war, surviving disciples inherited their predecessors' legacy and rebuilt the sect's headquarters on the ruins. Over the years that followed, the Nine Mortal Ways openly embraced outcasts and talents from all walks of life. Bound by "gratitude and loyalty," they grew powerful through these very virtues, gradually becoming a formidable force in the jianghu.
With Kaifeng as their base, they spread across the realm.
