About
Masked Troupe, once at its zenith during the Tang Dynasty, gradually retreated to Lake Taihu after the An Lushan Rebellion. Its disciples dedicate their lives to perfecting music and dance, aspiring to a simple yet authentic existence. Thus, they remain aloof from the jianghu's strife, experiencing life's myriad emotions solely through the safety of song and theater.
Headquartered on Lake Taihu in Jiangnan, its disciples only occasionally venture beyond its waters.
