After the An Lushan Rebellion, the nation was fragmented. Foreign tribes arose and encroached upon the fertile Hexi region. Zhang Yichao, ever loyal and courageous, vowed to restore the homeland. Unable to bear the sight of a shattered land, he took up his spear, rallied the people, and founded the Guiyi Army.
