Hu Yue leads the Golden Basin Escort Agency, but his forebears were once outlaws. After the Inkbound Order cleared Qingzhou of bandits, his family went straight, settling in Wellspring Town to form a merchant guard. When the group passed to Hu Yue, he secured an official charter and reformed it into an escort agency. He placed a golden basin at the gates to mark their clean break with the underworld, giving the agency its name.
