Nobody knows the road in and out of the city better than Wu Laosan, and nobody hears the wailing from a household sooner. One thin coffin, one dead body—the Sunken Boat Workshop takes on such work, day or night. Some say Wu Laosan used to scavenge the waters. When he came across unclaimed remains, he'd bury them himself. It was not much trouble.
