Once known as Jujube Pit Temple, this sanctuary survived many calamities to become a hub for Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Realizing salvation isn't strictly a Buddhist domain, Abbot Daokong renamed the temple "Seedling" as a reminder to keep an open, righteous mind.
