Many years ago, Lie Yan was saved by Wang Qing the Great Hero. Since then, Lie Yan has admired Wang Qing and often goes to the General's Shrine in Verdant Wilds to make offerings.
After Wang Qing was defeated during the Battle of Zhongdu Bridge, the General's Shrine was destroyed by the Khitan. But a rumor in Qinghe says that Lie Yan built another ancestral hall for Wang Qing, and hid his lifelong knowledge inside the ancestral hall.
