In the depths of the gloomy chamber, you finally lay your hand on the stone sarcophagus that is said to hold a treasure.
The cold dampness of the moss on the lid keeps your mind sharp. You know you are not the only living soul in this tomb. In the darkness, no one can see anyone else; all that remains is the pounding of hearts and the breaths each of you struggles to suppress. At a moment like this, the slightest sound is enough to give away a position and let an arrow pierce an opponent hiding in the dark.
You don't know how much time has passed when you feel a force from the other side of the sarcophagus, slight but unmistakable. In the end, your opponent has let their guard down and wants to claim the treasure first. Now all you need to do is rise quickly and loose a single arrow, and you will be the winner of this contest.
The lid is on the verge of opening. You hold your breath—

Gameplay Events
【Tomb Raiders' Gambit】
While traveling through Weiyang City, you may have heard rumors that the ancestors of the Wen family built their fortune by robbing tombs. Now, another ancient tomb said to hold the secret treasures of a former dynasty is about to emerge. This Friday, wanderers can head to the gameplay event [Tomb Raiders' Gambit] and seize treasure in the most treacherous and perilous of environments, living on the edge of the blade!

*Effects shown are from pre-research and are subject to change in the final release. The Ranger and several opponents enter a pitch-black secret chamber. Here, martial arts schools mean nothing: each combatant has only a bow and the mystic art 「Soaring Void Finger」 for protection. If you run out of arrows, you must pick up more from quivers on the ground. In the dark chamber, a battle of wits unfolds every moment. The Ranger can raise a candle at any time to light the way ahead, but doing so also reveals their position to others. Every gaze lurking in the shadows will turn toward that spot.

*Effects shown are from pre-research development; please refer to the final release. Rangers can choose to rapidly "switch" the candlelight on and off, loosing arrows in the interplay of light and shadow, roaming without fixed course. They can also lie in wait in corners the candlelight cannot reach, hunting from the dark and biding their time until an opponent shows the slightest opening. Temperament and strategy matter no less than archery skill.

*This reflects in-development effects; please refer to the final release. [Tomb Raiders] is divided into two modes, "Treasure Hunt" and "Bloodbath," which differ mainly in how rankings are determined. In Bloodbath mode, only the number of defeats counts, while in Treasure Hunt mode, you can only earn points by handing the treasure you've found over to the [Bagua Well] in the arena. Once a treasure carrier is defeated, all the loot they carry drops on the spot, paving the way for someone else instead. This adds a new strategic element to matches, and the decisions of "To search or not? To turn in or not? When to search? When to turn in?" run through the entire game. Not searching for treasure and instead waiting by the Bagua Well like a hunter waiting for a rabbit to run into a tree stump is indeed a viable tactic. But if your target slips away, or you get ambushed by a third party, you'll end up with nothing to show for it. Wanderers also needn't worry that the tense competition will become an extra burden. [Tomb Raiders] will support a bot mode, so Wanderers can play solo with no social pressure and no competitive pressure, and easily collect all the rewards. The variables in a match don't stop there. The mode features more than 20 kinds of "Strange Events," and several of them will be randomly chosen to take effect at the start of each match. The presence of "Strange Events" will greatly affect how you plan your strategy and enrich the match experience.

*Effects are still in pre-research; the final live version shall prevail. For example, [Corpse Firefly] leaves a trail of glowing fireflies on a Ranger after they seriously injure someone, making them an easier target for others; [Life-Reaping Lantern] forces a Ranger's light to come on whenever they attack, so shooting arrows from the shadows no longer works; [Seven Star Formation] intermittently illuminates certain spots in the secret chamber, further reducing the areas where you can hide... With all these combinations, every match is a brand-new experience.

*Effects shown are from pre-research and subject to change; please refer to the final release. [Tomb Treasure Hunt] will officially open on October 30, and as time goes on, more Strange Tales will gradually unlock. In addition, the story of Weiyang City will be revealed step by step over multiple updates, and a brand-new style made up of two spear martial arts is also in the works. We will bring more details to the Wanderers later, so please stay tuned for updates!
