Next Friday, the Golden Ship will pull into Hangzhou Harbor to pick up all our honored guests and carry them to the "Weiyang City." Meanwhile, pre-download for the new version, "Eternal Night of Changle," is now officially open. As this version includes a lot of new content, we recommend that all Wanderers complete the pre-download so they can enter the game more smoothly when it launches. A small gift will also be awarded once you finish pre-downloading. We are also bringing you a brand-new preview trailer to give Wanderers a closer look at the journey that lies ahead: The music in the trailer is the Weiyang City theme song, 《Treasure Ship》, a special collaboration between us and the up-and-coming creative music duo DOUDOU. The official release of the track will also go up on NetEase Cloud Music at 0:00 on October 21. Stay tuned! Previously, we introduced Wanderers to the two great arts of "Fortune Points" and "Wind Reading." They will be important aids on your journey. Today, we will help you get acquainted ahead of time with several key landmarks in the city, so that even on your first visit to the island, you can move with ease and feel like a seasoned "regular" who knows the way. The first thing that greets guests who cross the ocean to get here is the main island, [Changle Island]. It stands where sea meets sky, its whole body glittering with a golden radiance of wealth. Only when the ship draws closer can you see that the island is actually shaped like a giant coffin. Some people feel a chill in their hearts, but most don't mind at all, and instead joke that it is an auspicious omen of "raising the coffin, raising your fortune" (升棺发财). Once you actually step ashore and see the gold and jade splendor all around and the songs and music that carry on through the night, that initial unease is washed away without a trace by the heat of decadent luxury.

Ships from nations across the four seas carry countless dreams of fortune to this place, and before the gangway has even been lowered, the scent of gold, jade, and spices has already come rushing in on the sea breeze. That enormous gateway, so lavish it is almost dazzling, gleams in the sunlight, drawing every eye upward in spite of itself—so wealth really can be within one's grasp.

It is said to gather merchants from all over the world and goods from every corner of the land, a place where countless shops meet and every trade converges. Day or night, business never stops. Want jewelry? As far as the eye can see, treasures gleam and shimmer, and rare stones of every kind dazzle the eye. Want fine silks? Brocades lie piled like clouds everywhere, and exotic patterns and the work of master artisans can all be found. When your feet grow tired, just around the corner is a cluster of eateries, with delicacies from sea and mountain too many to take in. Now, savor the market's name once more, and it all becomes clear: What does this market have? What does it not have!

It is the hub where the Guild draws up contracts, divides accounts, and handles deposits and withdrawals of flying money, and it is also a place of revelry prepared especially for distinguished guests from all Nine Provinces. Merchants and notables come and go here without end, which makes it a perfect place to gather information and live by the creed "everything has its price." If you want to try your luck, you can have your fill of fun here too. Climb the steps further, and you will reach a realm of wealth and luxury that ordinary folk may never set foot in. Only the most distinguished of distinguished guests are qualified to enter. A dance by the Jiaoling, and a thousand sorrows are eased for a while. A cup of wine, and both names are forgotten. After feasting on rich delicacies, enjoy a lively talk, a deal, or perhaps a round at the gambling table... As the saying goes, a thousand pieces of gold are easily earned, but a fine evening is hard to find again. Forgotten Dust Manor welcomes the distinguished guests of the Nine Provinces!

It is said of Weiyang that its riches are three parts on the water and seven parts within it. Having come to Weiyang City, how could you miss the immortal bliss beneath the waves?

If [Nowhere Market] still sells only tangible things like pearls, jade, and silks, then in the [Inexhaustible Trove] every desire can be met. Here you will find a restaurant that can serve any delicacy you name, a clothier that can tailor any fabric you want, and, so the rumors go, even a place where "shadows" are bought and sold.

As for the [Mirage Tower], it hardly needs mentioning. As the saying goes, "The rare wonders that fill the halls of Changle Island are not a fraction of this tower's. The treasures lining the shops of Weiyang City are but dust beside this pavilion." It is even said that "when an honored guest asks, the Mirage Tower answers." How could anyone not want to see it for themselves?

There is one more place, [Fluffy Hollow], that is especially worth exploring. As you enter the garden, you hear the murmur of streams and the twitter of birds. Though you are on the seabed, "dandelions" cover the hills and sway and drift all around. Even more remarkable, beasts of every kind gather in the garden and live in peace: wolves and wild hares sleep side by side, a tranquility that is just right! No wonder some say [Fluffy Hollow] has the power to "wash away worldly ties and cleanse worldly dust." Wanderers, you will only know its flavor by visiting the garden yourselves!

Five days from now, wanderers will set foot in Weiyang City for the first time, beholding a dazzling mirage of gold and emerald and savoring an hour of gluttonous revelry. As the saying goes, "When false is taken for true, true becomes false; where nothing is deemed something, something becomes nothing." Weiyang is as opulent as a dream, and what within it is real or illusion is left for wanderers to discern for themselves. The October 23 update is merely the opening act of this dream of wealth and splendor. More secrets and undercurrents within the city will gradually surface over the course of the journey ahead. More previews of the guardians of [Weiyang City], tales of heroic deeds, formidable foes, and more will follow, so wanderers, please stay tuned! Who is real and who is illusion, we will leave aside for now. As for what truly drives [Weiyang City], it is nothing more than a single word: "desire." Desire is like something gained in a dream, hollow and unreal; or like something borrowed for a moment, gone in an instant. Though living beings are constantly ensnared by the five desires, they still cling to them greedily, and even at the end of their road they cannot bring themselves to let go. Here, we also present a set of thematic posters to gradually draw back the curtain on [Weiyang City] for wanderers: The first of the five desires is food, Delicacies and fine feasts, jade nectar and precious wine, sipped and savored, a glutton's appetite never sated. Men offer wine in a makara-shaped vessel, its stream pouring like a waterfall, turning upon the gluttons who feast without end.
