Exotic Technique Description
In the city of Hangzhou there was a craftsman surnamed Wenren, whose ancestors came from the land of Shu.
According to the Gazetteer of Huojing County, in years past the Marquis Wuhou, Zhuge Liang, once stationed troops and smelted iron at Huojing, creating sky lanterns to relay military messages. Later generations, remembering the Marquis's achievements, released lanterns in his honor at every festival, and this became a custom.
Wenren had studied the making of sky lanterns under his father since childhood. At first his skill was crude, and the lanterns would rise only to fall again, nearly setting his family's chicken coop ablaze. His father laughed and said, "If such falling lanterns were used on the battlefield, they might have the marvelous effect of a fire attack."
The speaker meant nothing by it, but the listener took it to heart. Wenren secretly remembered this jest, and from it he eventually created an exotic technique that could both ward off enemies and delight the eye with beautiful sights.
At the Carp Leaping Through the Dragon Gate in Hangzhou, it happened to be the time of a festival for blessings. Wenren, entrusted with making the lanterns, stood beneath the moon watching ten thousand lanterns rise slowly into the sky, glowing with radiant light, illuminating the smiling faces of the people throughout the city.
In days past, the Marquis's lanterns conveyed messages of war; now, in this age of peace, the sky lanterns carry instead the hearts and prayers of countless households for blessings.
Skill Description: A thousand lanterns bear fire, suddenly falling to the ground, their flames spreading unquenchably. Release multiple Kongming lanterns that will automatically track the target; after a period of time, the lanterns will transform into fireworks that burst and fire flare-arrows at the target. While the lanterns are in flight, you may click again to release a tracking arrow that detonates all the lanterns, dealing large-area damage and a powerful impact.
Non-Combat State Display: Ten thousand lanterns carry wishes, rising leisurely into the sky, beneath an eternal bright moon. In a non-combat state, using this exotic technique in an open area will release multiple Kongming lanterns directly in front of the Ranger.
