DLSS 5 Graphics Quality Upgrade Outlook
Recently, we've seen many Wanderers continuing to look forward to upgrades in visual quality. Glimpses of this have already appeared in many unofficial version submissions, and with the support of new technology in the future, the Jianghu will present more realistic material interaction and lighting effects.
Please rest assured, Wanderers—we are already advancing the official integration of the new DLSS 5 technology. We are currently working with our partners on more meticulous refinement and tuning around both effects and performance. Once everything is ready, it will be brought to Wanderers as soon as possible. At that time, in the official version, everyone will also enjoy an experience with even better and more refined effects—please look forward to it!
In September, the "complete" map of [Hangzhou] is about to open. Wanderers will also head to [Pinglan Academy] to make new friends in the new main chapters and side stories.
That will also be the day the brand-new season begins. We hope to take this opportunity of the seasonal update to once again deeply optimize Wanderers' experience across all aspects. This includes the martial arts balance that everyone has always cared about.
During this period, combining data performance, Wanderer feedback, and offline exchanges and discussions through various channels, after continuous evaluation, we have gradually clarified the optimization goals and direction for the next phase. The relevant changes have now landed on the Advance Test server—Wanderers are welcome to go experience them and provide feedback.
Additionally, we would also like to take this opportunity to share the thinking behind this round of adjustments with everyone, from the perspectives of both the PVP and PVE environment experiences—

Overall PVP Direction
Balancing Offense and Defense, Enhancing the Fun of Tactical Play
We've found that under the current environment, the defending side still holds a relatively clear advantage over the attacking side. Excessive evasive behavior has also, to some extent, diminished the fun of tactical engagement in Combat Cessation. Therefore, we hope to balance the gains for both attackers and defenders through a series of adjustments. First, while preserving the original characteristics of each weapon, we've optimized target-lock, turning, and combo performance to improve the operational rewards for offense. At the same time, we've unified and leveled the backward dodge distance across all weapons, and reinforced the performance of [Return Wind Shadow] and easily-mastered weapon skills for some weapons, making the base performance of weapons more balanced. | Turning and target-lock performance for the first hit of light attacks has been improved for all weapons; the positional target-lock performance for the first hit of light attacks has been improved for the weapons [Sword], [Sabre], and [Long Blade]. | The backward dodge distance and skill interrupt points for all weapons have been adjusted, leveling them overall while preserving each weapon's characteristics. | The action speed of the second strike of [Sword]'s [Return Wind Shadow] has been increased: after this adjustment, if the first strike hits an enemy, the second strike can reliably follow up. | The action speed of the easily-mastered weapon skill for [Dual Blades] has been moderately increased. | The action speed of the first and second hits of [Rope Dart]'s light attacks has been increased overall; after this adjustment, the first hit of the light attack can reliably follow into the second hit. | Fixed an issue where the fourth hit of [Spear]'s light attack combo had a chance of missing its first strike when attacking an enemy from the side or back. | The dodge distance of [Long Blade] has been increased, and its skill interrupt point has been moved earlier, narrowing the gap in dodge performance compared to other weapons. | The turning and target-lock performance of [Long Blade]'s easily-mastered weapon skill has been improved. Additionally, in scenarios involving guard-break, charging, and aerial evasion tactics, we've further balanced the gains for both attackers and defenders: | Improved the reward for a successful guard-break with the Esoteric Skill [Hawk Claw Chain Chisel]: after successfully breaking the enemy's guard, the user gains a Poise effect for the duration of the skill. | Improved the reward for a successful guard-break with the Esoteric Skill [Yaksha Breaks the Demon]: after successfully breaking the enemy's guard, the effect gained during the skill has been changed from Tenacity to Poise. | In Combat Cessation gameplay, certain martial arts' charge skills now incur additional stamina consumption upon a successful charge. This includes [Broken Awning Flies], [Wind Sweeps the Remnant Clouds], [Mountains Collapse and Earth Cracks], [War on All Sides], [Burn This Heart], [Delicate Bubble Reflection], and the [Unrighteous Shall Be Punished series of skills]. | Adjusted the interrupt priority of the Esoteric Skill [Soaring Cloud Step]: after this adjustment, [Soaring Cloud Step] can interrupt most enemy martial arts skills or esoteric skills, bringing it in line with standard esoteric skills; additionally, the target-lock height of [Soaring Cloud Step] in Combat Cessation gameplay has been moderately increased. Lastly, we've taken this opportunity to improve the experience of consecutive stagger recovery for some skills, reducing the penalty for being hit repeatedly. We hope these changes will help lower the entry barrier for novice wanderers. | Adjusted the consecutive stagger-recovery rules for certain martial arts skills to lower the barrier and improve the experience: [Second and Third Balance Path Technique] changed from a maximum of 4 stagger-recoveries to 3; [Flying Wild Goose Treads on Snow] changed from a maximum of 9 to 5; [Frost Above the Grave] changed from a maximum of 4 to 3; the 3rd/4th/5th light attack hits of [Heaven's Wrath Blade Technique] changed from a maximum of 8/5/5 to 3/3/3; [None Like Heaven's Way] changed from a maximum of 4 to 3; [The World Returns to Righteousness] changed from a maximum of 4 to 3. | Adjusted the passive control-removal effect of the Esoteric Skill [Clear Breeze, Bright Moon]: after leaving a hit-stun, control, or silence state, the passive control-removal progress bar now decays more slowly; additionally, when [Clear Breeze, Bright Moon] is used at low altitude, it will greatly speed up the landing.
Bell Toll · Rainbow
Currently, [Bell Toll · Rainbow] has a relatively weak school identity in Sword Discussion, whereas the mixed [Nameless Spear Technique] school performs more strongly by comparison. To address this, we've added a new synergy mechanic for [Bell Toll · Rainbow], making "Sword Qi" the core highlight of its combat style, while also binding the [Long Wind] effect to the [Bell Toll · Rainbow] school, strengthening its overall identity. | Added a new effect to the [Unrivaled Might] effect that can be applied by [Nameless Spear Technique]'s special skill [Ten Thousand Armies Broken]: while this effect is active, the charge speed of the same-school martial art [Nameless Sword Technique]'s charge skill [No Place to Call Home] is also increased; this effect is removed once triggered. Added a new effect to the first tier of the [Nameless Mind Method] mental cultivation method: while in the Unrivaled Might state, sword qi can be charged and fired in multiple bursts without requiring a True Qi shield to be active. Added a new effect to the first tier of the [Thousand Mountains Method] mental cultivation method: landing any [Bell Toll · Rainbow] school martial arts skill on a non-boss unit will allow the user to enter the Unrivaled Might state. | Adjusted the prerequisite conditions for [Nameless Spear Technique]'s martial arts skill [Heaven and Earth Settled] to gain the [Long Wind] effect: after this adjustment, the [Long Wind] effect can only be gained when [Nameless Sword Technique] is equipped at the same time. | Adjusted the action of [Nameless Spear Technique]'s dash skill to bring it in line with the dash skills of other [Spear]-type weapons, with an overall improvement in performance. | Adjusted the related pinning effect of [Special Skill: Ten Thousand Armies Broken]: the duration of the immobilization effect it inflicts on Tenacity-state units has been reduced, and after the immobilization ends, it will no longer be possible to follow up with subsequent combos.
Bell Toll · Shadow
Currently, [Bell Toll · Shadow]'s overall performance is relatively balanced. This adjustment aims to moderately lower the combo entry barrier while providing more stable combos and more room for combo variation. | The skill interrupt point of [Vertical-Horizontal Sword] that can follow [Accumulated Compass Nine Swords]' special skill [Second and Third Balance Path Technique] has been moved slightly earlier, making it easier to follow up with subsequent combos. | The turning and target-lock performance of the second hit of [Accumulated Compass Nine Swords]' martial arts skill [Inner First Balance Path Technique] has been improved.
Splitting Stone · Might
Currently, [Splitting Stone · Might] can maintain the Tenacity state for a long time and has strong close-combat ability, but has a shortcoming in mobility. This adjustment moderately strengthens its [Dodge] performance, while also appropriately rebalancing its Tenacity performance, to round out the school's overall experience. | The dodge distance of [Long Blade] has been increased, and its skill interrupt point has been moved earlier, narrowing the gap in dodge performance compared to other weapons. | The turning and target-lock performance of [Long Blade]'s easily-mastered weapon skill has been improved. | Adjusted the timing at which [Sighing Blade Technique] gains the Tenacity effect: after this adjustment, [Chasing Wind and Sun] can only gain Tenacity once the airflow has gathered. | The turning and target-lock performance of the first two thrusts of [Eight Directions Wind and Thunder Spear]'s charge skill [War on All Sides] has been improved, to increase combo stability.
Splitting Stone · Jun
Currently, [Snow-Cutting Blade Technique] has a number of combo-timing issues caused by input delay. This update systematically reworks it to improve the combo experience and provide more room for combo variation. At the same time, since [Snow-Cutting Blade Technique]'s stagger-counter mechanism gives it a significant tactical advantage, the performance of its light attacks and [Frozen Beneath the Spring] has been moderately rebalanced. | The startup time of [Sabre]'s first light-attack hit has been slightly increased, bringing its performance roughly in line with [Sword] and [Dual Blades]. After this adjustment, low-latency players will no longer be able to follow [Frozen Beneath the Spring] with a light attack combo. | The overall action speed of [Snow-Cutting Blade Technique]'s light-attack derived skill [Frozen Beneath the Spring] has been increased; after this adjustment, it can reliably follow into the light-attack charge skill [Frost Above the Grave] while in the Forgotten Mechanism state. | Removed the hit-stun protection mechanism that triggered when the final hit of [Flying Wild Goose Treads on Snow] landed on an enemy; it can now normally follow up into subsequent moves. | The skill interrupt point of [Snow-Cutting Blade Technique]'s martial arts skill [White Blade Slays the General] has been moved earlier, and the stagger duration it inflicts has been extended, allowing it to more reliably follow into [White Blade Slays the General · Slash]; additionally, the skill interrupt point of [White Blade Slays the General · Slash] has been moved earlier, allowing it to more reliably follow into subsequent combos. | Fixed an issue where [Ten Directions Breaking Formation]'s charge skill [Burn This Heart] could not be interrupted by dodging or other martial arts skills while continuously charging.
Silk-Drawing · Jade
Following this update's changes related to guard-break esoteric skills, the strengths of the current [Silk-Drawing · Jade] school have been further amplified. As a balancing measure, we've moderately adjusted the performance of [Green Mountain Wields the Brush]'s special skill [Spring Ends, Mountains Empty], while also providing more room for combo variation, enhancing flexibility and tactical fun. | The turning and target-lock performance of [Green Mountain Wields the Brush]'s special skill [Spring Ends, Mountains Empty] has been moderately reduced, and the range of its first strike has been moderately decreased; additionally, when releasing the follow-up skill [Spring's Passing Startles the Blossoms], it is now possible to interrupt with the special skill's second stage and flash back to the Water Person. | Adjusted the collision rules for the bullets fired by [Nine-Fold Spring Colors]' special skill [Flowers Never Wilt] in Combat Cessation and multiplayer instance environments: after this adjustment, [Flowers Never Wilt]'s bullets can pass through air walls.
Qianfu Wired Attack·Lin
Currently, "Qianfu Wired Attack·Lin" lacks both first-strike and counterattack capabilities in Lunjian mode. This update significantly enhances the target-tracking performance of "Sleeve Blade·Rush", improving its active offensive performance, while also adding a defense-breaking area-of-effect strike mechanism to "Watching the Clouds Rise", strengthening its counterattack methods. 丨 The charge skill "Sleeve Blade·Rush" of the technique "Thousand Fragrance Soul-Drawing Gu" in Sleeve Blade stance no longer consumes Dew to release, and its turning target-tracking performance has been significantly improved. 丨 The technique skill "Watching the Clouds Rise" of the technique "Mingchuan Pharmacopoeia" has a new mechanism: the fan thrown by "Watching the Clouds Rise" can deal two consecutive hits to surrounding enemies, and in Zhige mode, this move can break the enemy's Guard state.
Qianfu Wired Attack·Yi
Currently, the combo chains of the "Qianfu Wired Attack·Yi" style are relatively fixed, lacking room for variation, while its close-combat performance is also relatively weak. This update adds a mechanism allowing "Fan's Vital Breath" to sense "East Wind's Extermination" afterward, improving the performance of the Yiwu skill and enhancing overall flexibility and playability. 丨 The base effect of the mental cultivation "Wind Knows Intent" now adds: after the technique skill "Apricot Wandering in the Wild" from the technique "Xingyou Caoye" hits an enemy, it can also sense the heavy attack derivative skill "East Wind's Extermination". The Triple Effect now adds: upon releasing "East Wind's Extermination", the user gains the "Flowing Wind" effect. 丨 The overall action speed of the Yiwu skill for the weapon "Dancing Silk Drum" has been increased. 丨 Removed the Toughness effect of the heavy attack derivative skill "East Wind's Extermination" from the technique "Xingyou Caoye" in Zhige mode, and adjusted the skill priority of "East Wind's Extermination" during its startup phase: after adjustment, the startup phase can now also be interrupted via Displacement.
Pozhu·Feng (Bamboo-Splitting·Wind)
Currently, "Pozhu·Feng" performs relatively well-balanced overall. This update increases the action speed of "Wrathful Flame", optimizing the combo experience, while appropriately rebalancing the passive performance of the charge skill "Millet Wandering Dust". 丨 The overall action speed of the burst skill "Wrathful Flame" from the technique "Nili Sangou" has been increased. 丨 The healing effect of the charge skill "Rat-Binding Restraint" from the technique "Millet Wandering Dust" will be subject to the healing effect reduction limit in Zhige mode; additionally, the timing of extra Stamina consumption for "Rat-Binding Restraint" has been adjusted: from consuming immediately upon release to consuming upon gaining Toughness.
Pozhu·Chen (Bamboo-Splitting·Dust)
As a ranged style, the "Pozhu·Chen" style currently relies heavily on "Fading Red, Broken Fragrance", which has a lengthy recovery time, for its ranged options. This update comprehensively strengthens the ranged charge skill of "Drunken Dream Wandering Spring" in terms of charge speed and skill priority, allowing it to be used more effectively in actual combat. At the same time, the passive performance of the charge skill "Millet Walking Clouds" has been appropriately rebalanced. 丨 Adjusted the skill priority of the charge skill "Exquisite Bubble Reflection" from the technique "Drunken Dream Wandering Spring": after adjustment, it can be interrupted by Dodge or other technique skills, making it consistent with other standard charge skills; additionally, the charge speed of "Exquisite Bubble Reflection" has been significantly increased, and the Stamina continuously consumed during charging has been increased. 丨 The healing effect of the charge skill "Dart Resounding Through the Wild" from the technique "Millet Walking Clouds" will be subject to the healing effect reduction limit in Zhige mode; additionally, the timing at which "Dart Resounding Through the Wild" begins continuously consuming Stamina has been slightly delayed, making it consistent with the charge skill "Rat-Binding Restraint" from the technique "Millet Wandering Dust".
Pozhu·Yuan (Bamboo-Splitting·Kite)
Currently, the "Pozhu·Yuan" style's characteristics are relatively unclear in Lunjian mode; in comparison, the mixed style performance of "Heaven's Will Manifest" is more dominant. To address this, this update significantly increases the charge speed of "Punishing the Unrighteous·Final", and moderately binds the "Perfect Dodge" specialization mechanism to "Pozhu·Yuan", strengthening the style's overall characteristics. 丨 The charge speed of the charge skill "Punishing the Unrighteous·Final" from the technique "Heaven's Will Manifest" has been significantly increased. 丨 Adjusted the conditions for gaining Toughness from Perfect Dodge of the technique "Heaven's Will Manifest" in Zhige mode: after adjustment, triggering Perfect Dodge requires consuming 0.5 bars of Heaven's Will to gain Toughness, while no Heaven's Will consumption is required in the "Unity of Man and Heaven" state. 丨 The stagger duration that can be caused by the second segment of the heavy attack from the technique "Heaven's Will Manifest" has been reduced.
Pozhu·Zun (Bamboo-Splitting·Wine Cup)
Currently, the "Pozhu·Zun" style has notable shortcomings in close-combat and combo performance while not in the "Drunken Stupor" state, and is also prone to losing offensive opportunities due to being hit while in the "Drunken Stupor·Deep Intoxication" state. To address this, we have significantly enhanced the base performance of "Cup-Throwing Chain", while also improving the interruption resistance of "Drunken Stupor·Deep Intoxication". 丨 The second segment of the technique skill from "Suspended Body Boxing", "Cup-Throwing Chain", now adds a Toughness effect, while its interrupt point has been moved earlier and the stagger duration it can cause has been lengthened, allowing it to more reliably link into subsequent combos. 丨 Fixed an issue where the mechanism allowing "Suspended Body Boxing" to recover from a hit-stun state more quickly while in the "Drunken Stupor·Deep Intoxication" state was not taking effect. 丨 The movement target-tracking performance of the special skill branch "Drunken Lamplight·Appointing the General" from "Suspended Body Boxing" has been improved; additionally, the interrupt points of "Drunken Lamplight·Appointing the General" and "Drunken Lamplight·Ground Roll" have been moved earlier, allowing them to more reliably link into subsequent combos. 丨 The movement target-tracking performance of the second segment of the Drunken Stupor light attack "Drunken Flower Break" from "Suspended Body Boxing" has been appropriately reduced.
