New disciple, stop right there — come back with me to study!

Summer break has come to an end, and autumn schooling is about to begin. Yet, there remains a group of students so reluctant to part with their holiday that they've grown "too happy to think of returning to school." Among them, some students have grown lost in play, gradually forgetting their studies. Even more so, a few students—perhaps too embarrassed to face others over their neglected lessons—refuse to even set foot in the schoolhouse, hiding away outside its walls instead. Upon hearing of this, how could the tutor not cast aside his scrolls and go forth to capture every one of these mischievous students and bring them back to school?

Should wanderers happen to stumble upon this amusing scene, it's worth paying closer attention—for "Master and Student Hide-and-Seek" is more than just a lesson for wayward students; there's a whole set of rules and history behind it. Once they understand it, wanderers too can join in the fun, taking on the role of either a hiding student or a pursuing tutor.

On September 10, the brand-new game mode event [Delighted to Forget School] will go live. As the saying goes, there is a path up the mountain of books, and diligence is the way to conquer it—wanderers, best study hard through capture!

Solo Matches, Choose Your Side Freely

Before the match officially begins, wanderers may choose between two factions: the Catchers and the Hiders. Different factions represent different kinds of fun. Choosing the Catcher faction turns you into the tutor, tasked with using investigation and pursuit to find all the mischievous students within a limited time. Choosing the Hider faction turns you into one of the mischievous students, using objects found around the area to disguise yourself in ever-changing forms, successfully evading capture within the limited time.

In addition, there are three maps to choose from: Jiangnan·Haike Lane, Bujian Mountain·Mozhou Pavilion, and Liangzhou·Jiuquan Town. The game mode supports solo matchmaking and 1V3 AI matches (in AI matches, players can only take on the role of the Master). There are mainly two modes: 2V3 and 3V5. Matches can also be started within the Hundred Trades Outpost, with a maximum of 12 participants per match.

In different maps, the objects available for the Mischievous Children to hide in also vary. How the Mischievous Children adapt to local conditions and choose suitable hiding objects is also a test of wit.

Ever-Changing Techniques, the Fun of Hide-and-Seek

The Teacher and the Mischievous Children, one seeking and one hiding, naturally require different skills. Besides their fixed [Exclusive Skills] and [Passive Abilities], both sides also have three [Match Skills] to choose from. Clever and interesting skills can also bring more joyful and thrilling experiences to the whole match.

During the preparation phase, Rangers who transform into Mischievous Kids can use the skill [Hide in Objects] to choose objects of varying sizes to hide in, based on the scene's furnishings. It should be noted that the larger the hiding spot's volume, the more capture attempts it can withstand, and vice versa. Also, each object can only be used by one Mischievous Kid to hide in. The Ranger who transforms into the Tutor only needs to wait until the Mischievous Kids have finished hiding before entering the scene to begin the capture.

Once the Tutor enters, the contest between the two sides officially begins. The Tutor can use the skill [Catch with Ease] to launch a capture centered on themselves, radiating outward. Likewise, the Mischievous Kids who have transformed into objects can still dodge the capture by moving sideways and other means.

If the Master chooses the [Chirping Snipe] match skill, he can rely on [Chirpy] to search for mischievous children who have transformed into objects. If one is found, [Chirpy] will make a sound to alert the Master. If [Wind Trailing] is chosen instead, he can follow the trace of the wind's scent to locate where the mischievous child is hiding. There is also a skill called [Fleeting Shadow], which can help the Master become briefly invisible and quicken his pace.

The mischievous children certainly won't wait to be caught—they too can rely on various match skills to conceal themselves and evade capture. If a mischievous child chooses [Fake It Till You Make It], they can confuse the Tutor with a decoy; should the Tutor come to catch them, they may even be bothered by smoke and cough a few times. There is also a technique called [Wind's Turning Path]—once a mischievous child uses it, a wind wall will rise up, blocking the Tutor's pursuit.

Whether the Tutor confronts an item or a Truant, as long as the two sides go head-to-head, a wonderful game of chase-and-hide will unfold. Truants can use [Riding the Wind] to increase their movement speed or jump height, making it impossible for the Tutor to catch them, and can even deliberately tease the Tutor.

Once a Truant is caught, if there are still companions remaining on the field, they can activate [Strength in Reserve] to boost their companions' speed. And as the match reaches its final stretch, the Tutor won't give up easily either, growing [Braver with Every Battle], vowing to capture every Truant on the field and bring them back to the school.

When the match ends, if the Tutor has caught all the Truants, the Tutor's side wins; conversely, as long as a single Truant remains free on the field, the Truants' side wins. Once victory or defeat is decided, both the Tutor and the Truants can earn corresponding base points based on the number caught or their survival duration. By participating in matches and accumulating points, Wanderers can also obtain rewards such as [Poses], [Set Scenes], and [Wanderer Titles].

In addition, we have recently continued to use legal means to protect the legitimate rights and interests of [Where Winds Meet], achieving phased progress in cracking down on illegal activities, including:

Certain companies drove traffic through false, malicious marketing topics, spreading rumors and defaming the game, severely misleading players and causing negative effects. They have been ruled by the court to constitute commercial defamation, and must bear legal responsibilities including direct financial compensation (Where Winds Meet has fully donated the corresponding compensation to public welfare causes) and public apology;

Regarding the illegal misappropriation of Where Winds Meet's art, audio, and other assets for the production of animations and AI comic dramas, we have recently dealt with multiple such animations and AI comic dramas one after another; for unauthorized offline commercial activities that misused game assets and misled players into believing there was a commercial partnership, the responsible parties have fully deleted and replaced all infringing materials. Here, we also solemnly thank all Wanderers for their righteous support in combating infringement!

The back-to-school season has arrived, and a special event awaits Wanderers. The first Inter-University Team Strategy Tournament is about to begin — a peak showdown, let's chow down together for a good cause!

[Where Winds Meet] and bilibili have jointly launched the Free Lunch University Charity Event, gathering Wanderers from 16 universities for a 3-week Team Strategy gameplay competition. More important than winning or losing is the sincerity of every Wanderer. Competition points will be converted into charitable funds for free lunches, delivering a heartwarming meal to children in mountainous areas as the Mid-Autumn Festival arrives!

At that time, Wanderers can head to bilibili's Games Zone official account @下班被游戏打 [Beaten by Games After Work] to watch the full live broadcast. As the Mid-Autumn moon grows full, in the name of the Wanderer, let love cross mountains and seas, arriving right on schedule.

More university events will be rolled out one after another going forward — Wanderers, please look forward to them!
