Running a guild is a lot for one person. Appoint vice-leaders and officers to share the work without handing over everything — a vice-leader does everything but appoint roles and join alliances; an officer runs the guild without touching the public listing.

What the words mean

The short version above, in full.

Edit the listing

Change the description, activities and requirements, manage the gallery and progress bars, bump the guild, and confirm it's still recruiting.

Manage the roster

Accept and decline applications, invite people directly, add members by hand, and sync your Discord members.

Run events

Create events, invite people to them, and confirm who turned up.

Log progress

Record activity participation, Skyward Bond clears, Millennium Sword qualifications and boss talents.

Spend guild points

Stock the guild shop, buy boosts and cosmetic borders, and bid for the spotlight.

Appoint roles and join alliances

Make somebody a vice-leader or officer, and form or join an alliance. Leader only — a vice-leader can run everything else, but cannot appoint a peer or promote themselves.

Rules worth knowing

One character, one guild

A character belongs to one guild at a time. To join another, leave the first.

One role per person, per guild

Roles belong to accounts, not characters — so somebody with two characters in your guild still holds one role.

Leaders can't be vice-leaders elsewhere

If you lead your own guild you can't be a vice-leader of another, and the reverse. You can still be an officer anywhere.

Members can look quietly

Somebody in your guild who is looking elsewhere can turn on quiet mode, which keeps them out of your candidate list and out of the wanderer index. Other guilds can still match with them. It is stated here rather than hidden, because a leader finding out by accident is worse than knowing it is possible.

Rosters stay private

Vice-leaders and officers are shown publicly on your guild page, but your member list is not.

Appointing someone

Roles are set from your dashboard, under Guild Roster → Roles. Only people on your roster with an account can be given one — manual roster entries have no account behind them until somebody claims the spot.
